Alabaster Arts Council Announces New CityFest 5K FUN RUN
The Alabaster Arts Council is proud to announce the addition of the CityFest 5K Fun Run to this year’s 11th Annual Alabaster CityFest. The Inaugural CityFest 5K will begin and end at the Thompson High School Football Stadium located on Thompson Road. This will be the kickoff event for a great day of family entertainment. The race will be Saturday, June 1 at 8AM. Day-of registration will begin at 7AM. All runners will receive a commemorative CityFest t-shirt and will be eligible for door prizes (must be present to win). To register go online at Active.com.

Planning for 2013 CityFest is in Progress
Monday, October 29, 2012 -- The Alabaster CityFest Planning Committee met to continue discussions for the June 1, 2013 upcoming event. "All we can say is...2013 could be VERY BIG! We have a couple big name headliners we are talking with. And once we confirm a few of our larger financial sponsors, we will be able to move forward with formal bids to the artists." "If we are able to move quickly and close the deals for the artists on our wish list, 2013 could pull many more visitors -- giving our sponsors even more recognition!
